NoseWrap masks .....are a one piece design that has flame licks for hood, and BOTH sides in one continuous mask. These masks are meticuously fitted to specific Hot Wheels castings. They will fit those castings PRECISELY. However, they can fit a variety of OTHER castings as well. Some castings may require some manipulation and/or cutting (of mask) to properly fit other castings. But there are many castings with similar sized bodies, which are large, medium, or small, in general, so you can compare the intended custom (casting) to the casting these masks are sized to fit, and come up with a close match. WE DO NOT claim an "exact fit" to ANY OTHER CASTING however, OTHER THAN the specific ones the masks are named after.
Here are examples of NoseWrap "GMC" masks!
Below "GMC" masks were used on a Hot Wheels casting of a 64 GMC Panel truck.
These are LARGE and wide, thus recommended for larger 1/64th castings, in addition of course to the GMC Panel.
This is one way to apply NoseWrap masks!
**NOTE : This product may not be same style as depicted in image below.
NoseWrap masks can be purchased in quanties of 5. Please use dropdown selector below.
Different Specifically matched Traditional Flame designs are available.
Each with inner and outer mask sides.
The inner masks will be the most commonly used, However the outer masks may be utilized on convertible castings or those without roofs, otherwise, cutting of mask will be necessary to allow for the "hump" of roof.
Please be sure that you have selected the NoseWrap design you need by the signifying letter with each (N, M1, M2, C, GMC, C7)
Sample sized application film available to transfer mask to surface, if needed, and may be purchased below.
Not necessary to apply, nor is seperate film included by default, however it can make it easier for some users or those utilizing the "outer" portion of NoseWrap masks.
These are especially designed for 1/64 scale applications, but may work on different scales as well, depending on the effect desired.
I recommend these "NO Film" masks primarily for more advanced skill levels, however, new users may also achieve great results with minimal difficulty of application. Please see our Start to Finish Paint How To for indepth information using the NoseWrap masks and painting process.
These masks have LIMITED reuse capabilities due to stretching or cutting of masks during removal. We DO NOT imply or guarantee more than one use per mask applied.
Best results will likely be obtained utilizing the INNER Masks to paint the FLAME COLOR FIRST, apply the mask, then paint the Main body color and remove mask.
OUTER MASKS while included with NoseWrap masks are not recommended for normal use and/or castings with a roof, due to alignment obtacle issues encountered with most castings with a roof. However can be used for special secondary flame layer/colors or should you still wish to paint the Main Body color FIRST, apply the mask, then spray the FLAME COLOR LAST. We recommend also using application film for transfer as the outer masks are less rigid and may easily be damaged. Please select Sample Film (approx. 4x4 inches on seperate carrier) below if desired.
